If losing weight is one of the goals you have for 2013, no matter which new way of eating you choose or which exercises you choose, there are tips to help you prepare.

1. Know Thyself! Nobody knows you like you. Do you! What may work for somebody else may not work for you. If you are confident in this, you won’t set yourself up for failure by trying to lose weight in a way that is not for you!

2. Weigh In! I’m not talking about weighing yourself literally. Weigh in the reasons why you want to lose weight. Do you want to lose weight for you or for somebody else? What is the real reason causing you to carry the extra weight? What has kept you from losing the extra weight in the past?

3. Walk Into Wellness! First you must lace up your faith-walking shoes and walk by faith! Then lace up and walk; at least 2,000 steps each day!
