After a long campaign trail, Barack Obama has been elected for a second term as President of the United States. Election night began as a, “neck and neck”, race as both candidates fought for electoral votes. As the night went on, President Obama quickly emerged as the clear winner with 274 electoral votes to Mitt Romney’s 203 electoral votes. With only 270 electoral votes needed to win, several news outlets declared Obama’s victory , however Mitt Romney’s camp refused to concede for almost 2 hours. Americans everywhere are gathering in celebration as President Obama will have 4 more years to fulfill his plan as this nation’s Commander in Chief!
