Jada Pinkett Smith acknowledged President Cheryl Boone Isaacs' plan to ensure The Academy includes more diversity amongst it's membership
Cheryl Boone Isaacs issued a statement over the weekend after Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett Smith called for an Oscars boycott.
This is the second time under her watch she has to explain why are the #OscarsSoWhite.
"Being left out of awards consideration is about more than just recognition for a job well-done; winning an Oscar has long-lasting cultural and economic impacts” said Civil Rights activist Al Sharpton in a statement
