The cast for the 12th season of ABC’s hit competition series ‘Dancing With the Stars’ was just announced, and there are several notable personalities ready to learn some complicated dances in front of millions of television viewers. Daytime talk show host and former syndicated radio jock Wendy Williams, actor/rapper Romeo and former world champion boxer Sugar Ray Leonard are all onboard for the new season.

They will battle Emmy Award-winning actress Kirstie Alley, E! reality star Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett, the original ‘Karate Kid,’ Ralph Macchio, WWE champion Chris Jericho, supermodel Petra Nemcova, Pittsburg Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward, L.A. radio personality ‘Psycho’ Mike Catherwood and Disney star Chelsea Kane.

Williams took to her talk show to share with her audience just how excited she is to compete on the show.

“So I was so excited to do today’s show, last night it was revealed – finally, it was so hard to keep a secret – that I am part of season twelve of ‘Dancing With The Stars’. And, listen, I won’t let you down….look, I promise you that I will use all of my meat for good not evil,” she joked.

Though Williams says she has known that she would be a part of the new season for over a month, Williams disclosed that the show producers would not reveal who her partner or the other contestants were. She also got a waltz dance lesson from ‘Dancing With The Stars’ winner John O’Hurley.

Williams, at age 46, is a New York Times best-selling author and left her noteworthy career in radio to pursue a television career as host of ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ full time. Williams will not put her talk show on hiatus for ‘Dancing’; she will juggle filming the two both in Los Angeles and New York.

Romeo, at age 21, is following in his dad Master P’s footsteps. The New Orleans rapper and No Limit Records founder competed on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ in its second season. Many people don’t know Romeo was originally slated to compete in season two, but his famous dad stepped in and competed in his place after an injury made the Disney star incapable of participating.

The new season of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ will kick off on March 21st!
