Naomi E. Ross-Smith, co-founder of the Delaware-based Russell Delegation, passed on Feb. 8, 2010 in Delaware. Smith’s family remains closely connected to Russell Delegation, as son Mark Smith is chairman of the choir and Travis Smith serves as manager of the aggregation. Russell Delegation released two albums, Wait On the Lord in 1997 and its follow up, What Would Russell Do? in 2000, showcasing early writing and production from Tye Tribbett, Danny Eason, and Zak Williams. Smith’s homegoing service will be held on February 15, 2010 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Wilmington, Delaware.
