The ladies of Preach are definitely stirring emotions in their viewing audience. They are aware of it too! Belinda Scott is not afraid to be who she is on camera no matter the opinions. Belinda considers herself a Major Prophetess who has given council to politicians and celebrities across the country. She has the ability to predict childbirth and specializes in blessing the wombs of barren women.
The audience will watch Belinda mentoring her protégé, Hadassah Elder, who grew up Muslim and has never seen a woman in the pulpit. Belinda does not take her gift lightly.
Elev8: Why would you choose this role in ministry? What drove you to this calling?
Belinda Scott: need to help others and aide people who have been beat down in LIFE and they Literally want to give up.
Elev8: How do you deal with the criticism and the charges that what you do is unbiblical and a mockery of God’s gifts.
Belinda Scott:I know individuals may think they understand why I do what I do; but they have no understanding of the dynamics of my passion, nor my heart, so to make a mockery of faith would mean that I have no faith, that is the furthest thing from the truth! Everything that I have done in my 30 years of ministry has brought people closer to God.
Elev8: What do you see your role as in the Church?
Belinda Scott: My role as a Prophetess is to help reveal that God listens and cares and to bring people to a deeper understanding that “He is REAL”…1 Corinthians 14:3 (NIV) “But the one who prophesies speak to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort.”
