Meagan Good and her man Devon Franklin were featured in a spread for Essence where they showed off their love for one another–and some fresh threads. Inside of the spread they were interviewed about their relationship, and the early days of it when Franklin decided that he wanted to pursue Good. If you weren’t aware, aside from being a Seventh-day Adventist pastor, Franklin is also a film executive for Columbia Pictures. When he started getting cozy with Good, it was after she finished shooting Jumping The Broom, which he produced, and he was a little apprehensive about trying to take things from a professional to a more personal level. But now, he’s glad that he did. He’s head over heels in love:
“I was mindful of crossing that professional line. Then, while we were talking at the Jumping The Broom premiere party, I thought
‘Wait! Something is going on here’ but I kept trying to tell myself, ‘No, no no.’
