Dear Church Lady,
I’ve been married for 15 years to the same man and while he is a good man and loves me dearly, I am just not attracted to him anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I love him. He is my best friend and has taken care of me and our household for all these years. But I am no longer sexually attracted to him anymore. I don’t want to make love to him and I don’t even want him to touch me in a sensual way. I think about cheating all the time but can’t bring myself to do that to him. What should I do? Is it possible for me to fall back in love with my husband? I don’t want to cheat on him but cheating is becoming more and more tempting every day. Help me find my way back in
Dear Outta Love,
Stop! Do not do anything! Most of all do not cheat or leave your husband. Honey, Love is ever-changing all the time. It’s funny and challenging and painful and joyous, but when you find love, I mean true love, it is AMAZING! You have not fallen out of love you’ve fallen out of creating new possibilities for love. Sometimes we fall into routines and we think that’s where life and love ends. But the funny thing is we created the routine which means we can change it whenever we want. Today, create a new routine by exploring new possibilities. Take a gallon of conversation, a quart of time, a cup of creativity, a spoon full of memories, a piece of your heart, mix it up and you’ll find yourself right back in love again!
