This month in Breast Cancer Awareness Month and according to a new study by the American Cancer Society, women who walk for an hour a day can reduce their risk of getting breast cancer. Researchers found that women who walked regularly (about seven hours per week) had a 14 percent lower risk of developing breast cancer than women who walked less than three hours per week.
And those who participated in more vigorous exercise an hour a day reduced their risk by 25 percent.
