Effective June 30th, 3,000 Philadelphia School District employees will be laid off; including all 160 assistant principals! The layoffs are a part of what opponents are calling a “Doomsday Budget”, as the district continues to try to close a $304 million deficit.
Our prayers go up and out to the workers that will be given their pink slips today; and of course our prayers are definitely in order for our children in the Philadelphia School district who will be affected by these job cuts.
