Chicago, IL — Jennifer Hudson will be spending her 29th birthday at church this year. The Oscar winner and Chicago-native will host a benefit for the Julian King Christmas Toy Drive — named after her slain nephew — at Christ Universal Temple (11901 S. Ashland Avenue) on Sunday.

Hudson will perform along with other Gospel artists, including Kelly Price, Shirley Murdock, Ricky Dillard & New G and Walt Whitman & Soul Children. You can purchase tickets for the fundraiser on ticketmaster.com.

According to an interview Hudson did with Michigan Avenue, she and husband David Otunga plan on moving back to Chicago this Fall. “With the baby growing up, we want him to be around our family … We feel so secluded (in Tampa). Both David and I are the babies of the family, and we want to be home with our families as well.”
