People have been wondering when singer Bobby Brown was going to speak out about the death of his late ex-wife Whitney Houston. Well there is no more wondering to be done. During an interview that is to air tomorrow and Thursday on NBC’s “Today” show, Brown makes it clear that he isn’t the reason Whitney Houston and he adds he was not the one to introduce Whitney to drugs.

Brown was also asked how he feels about speculation that he was to blame for getting Houston hooked on drug, he says, “It makes me feel terrible. But you know, I know differently. I think if anyone ever knew us, if anybody ever spent time around us … they would know how we felt about each other. They would know how happy we were together.”

Brown went on to say he never used narcotics before he met Houston. “It’s just unexplainable – how one could, you know, [say that I] got her addicted to drugs. I’m not the reason she’s gone,” he said.

The interview airs tomorrow and Thursday on NBC’s Today show.
