Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones recently signed an agreement to continue to host his world renowned Gospel television program, “Bobby Jones Gospel”, for another season to begin in the Fall of 2012. The program was the first program selected to be aired on BET in November, 1980 and is the longest running show in the history of cable television, thirty one years.
He was recently presented the Legends Award at The Kennedy Center with First Lady Michelle Obama and Cathy Hughes, The World Citizen Award in Nassau, Bahamas, with opera diva, Jessye Norman, The Walk of Fame, Nashville, TN. with Dottie Rambo, the National Association of Black Broadcasters, Inc. Pioneer Award, with Soledad O’Brien ,The William J Hale Award from Tennessee State University for the only alumni to donate more than one million dollars, in-kind, to the University and many more!
