Amazon is giving customers another reason to order online…it’s called “Purchase Pickup Lockers!” These high-tech lockers will hold your purchases until you are ready to pick them up!
So far the lockers have been installed in a Seattle-area 7-Eleven and will be activated this Friday! As a way to bridge the gap between the conveniences of online shopping and in-store pickups, all you will soon have to do is place your order on Amazon’s website, select the store as an alternate address; and when packages are ready to be picked up, customers will get e-mails containing special barcodes that can be used to unlock the lockers containing the items.
If you’ve ever missed a package delivery, this is a great idea! Amazon is apparently testing the storage lockers around the Seattle area and, if successful, may expand the project nationwide next summer!
