Former First Lady Betty Ford, wife of the 38th president Gerald Ford, has passed away at age 93. Ford captivated the nation with her honesty about her personal battles with breast cancer, prescription drug addiction and alcoholism.
Ford later founded The Betty Ford Center for the treatment of chemical dependencies.
