According to the Oakland Tribune, Harold Camping, the man that said Judgment Day would begin on May 21, was hospitalized last Thursday after suffering a stroke. As of Friday, the 89-year-old is doing okay but his speech is slurred. More on Camping’s health will be released later today.
As you recall, all around the country millions of dollars were spent on billboards and other advertisements, to warn people about the coming of Judgment Day. Many of Camping’s followers spent their life savings to support the spread of this warning; which left many followers in shocked, disappointed and broke when Camping’s prediction didn’t come true. Some sources say that some followers went as far as committing suicide due to their loss of faith and finances.
Meanwhile, Camping continues to say that the world is now under judgment and he has moved the rapture date and the end of the world to Oct. 21st.
