Tyrene “TJ” Jackson

Tyrene “TJ” Jackson is an award-winning Manager, Executive Producer, On-Air
Personality, Talk Show Host, Public Speaker, and Voice Over Artist. With a BA in
Broadcast Journalism, her radio career began while she was a student at UW-Whitewater.
It was there that she was bit by the radio bug when she became a DJ on 91.7 WSUW
FM. Prior to graduation, she also got her first taste of management when she
was promoted to Music Director of her college station.
After graduating from college, TJ scored her first gig as an On Air Personality on 1290
WMCS AM in Milwaukee, WI. She would go on to become a Talk Show Host, Program
Director and Operations Manager at various stations (WZTI, WJMR, TBN, MATA-TV).
In 2013 TJ pursued her interests in television and became a Talk Show Host on Trinity
Broadcast Networks in Brookfield, WI. She went on to create an online talk show, which
was also aired on MATA TV in Milwaukee, WI.
A few years later her journey led her to Dallas, TX where she soon became a
Traffic/Weather Anchor for Total Traffic & Weather Network. While there she was an
Anchor on Sirius XM, and 105.7 KRNB FM.
In 2017 TJ became the Executive Producer of the nationally syndicated morning radio
show, Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell. She was there from the show’s inception,
helping to grow, brand, and build the awarding winning show. It was also in this 7-year
season that TJ also launched her own nationally syndicated inspirational show, Praise
with TJ, which she still hosts today.
In 2023 TJ became the Executive Producer of, The Amanda Seales Show, and in 2025
she was promoted to her current position, Executive Producer of the nationally
syndicated, Rickey Smiley Morning Show. TJ also currently hosts her own Urban Adult
Contemporary local radio show in Dallas, TX on Majic 94.FM.
She’s a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., a mentor, Praise Dancer, and
community leader. She’s been honored by organizations like, The Wisconsin
Broadcasters Association Significant Community Impact Award, Top Ladies of
Distinction, Woman in Media Award, National Black Programmers Coalition On Air
Personality of the Year, Billboard Magazine Music Director of the Year, Black Women’s
Network, Women in Media Award and a several others.
With a continued passion to empower, inspire, and entertain audiences, she knows that
the microphone is her friend. TJ is thankful for having the opportunity to use her voice
and ability to communicate effectively everyday with the masses.
Whether she’s hosting a talk show or music program, voicing commercials, planning or
hosting events, TJ gets up in the morning to make life better for someone else.
