Philly.com- Philadelphia police are investigating the gunpoint sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl at the City Hall SEPTA station Tuesday night.
Shortly before 10 p.m., police said, a man in his 20s approached the girl from behind and forced her to perform a sex act at gunpoint. The suspect was captured on surveillance footage and police are asking for help in identifying him. He was described as a tall, thin man with a mustache. He was last seen wearing a tan hat, a white hooded sweatshirt with red and blue stripes on the sleeves, grey sweatpants, and red sneakers.
About 6 p.m. yesterday, a man resembling the suspect was stopped by SEPTA Police at 69th Street. He was illegally in possession of a loaded gun, and was arrested. The Special Victims Unit is investigating to see if he is the suspect in Tuesday’s assault.
