This weekend marks the 50-year anniversary of Terry v. Ohio, the Supreme Court decision that held the Fourth Amendment in the confrontation on the street between the citizen and the policeman investigating suspicious circumstances.
Solomon hopes the partnership with The Philadelphia Inquirer will put an end to the practice of stop-and-frisk in Philadelphia. This study gives people in the Philadelphia community a chance to voice their concerns and share their personal experiences with police brutality and stop-and-frisk.
