The house of the Lord is supposed to be a place of refuge and safety, but a man was killed at a Philadelphia church Sunday.

A churchgoer fatally shot a fellow attendee after a fight broke out over a seat in the sanctuary, according to authorities.

The dispute began when Robert Braxton III, 27, chose to sit in a place where seats were reserved for two other members at Keystone Fellowship Church, district attorney Kevin Steele said.

When someone tapped him on the shoulder and notified him that those seats were taken, Braxton yelled out, “don’t f—ing touch me,” an affidavit obtained by NBC Philadelphia said. He only calmed down after speaking to a church usher and a pastor said witnesses.

But it wasn’t over.
