Original reports indicating that the 16-year-old Spring Valley High School girl thrown across the classroom by a school services officer wasn’t hurt, were wrong.
According to her lawyers, the victim had her arm broken, along with other injuries.
South Carolina State Representative Todd Rutherford announced the creation of aGo Fund Me account for the girl who was battered by former officer Ben Fields when she refused to leave the classroom.
He was fired for his actions.
Rep. Rutherford, one of the top civil rights attorneys in the state, is representing the unnamed girl.
