The Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has issued a declaration in her news conference this morning that the Baltimore PD will have body cameras by the end of this year.  The mayor has also joined with the City Council president in issuing a request to the Department of Justice to investigate the city police department’s civil rights practices over the year.  Body cameras became a hot topic over the past few months after the death of Mike Brown in Ferguson and now the unexplained death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray after he allegedly sustained injuries while in the hands of the Baltimore police department and eventually succumbed to them, which resulted in riots throughout the city.  To read the full story, click the link below!
