If you see an animal chained up outside, please call Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia: 267-385-3800 or animal control in your area. Pet owners will be fined.
Broad Street Run Deadline
Tonight at midnight is the deadline to sign up for the 10 mile Broad Street Run, which will take place May 3. Once again, computers will select runners. About 40,000 people are expected to participate. Sign up now at www.broadstreetrun.com..

Paid Sick Leave Becomes Law In Philly
On Thursday, Mayor Michael Nutter signed into law paid sick leave for thousands of workers who never had it. The new law, which goes into effect in 90 days, applies to businesses with at least 10 employees.

Facebook Offers ‘Legacy Accounts’
The world’s largest social media network, Facebook, it now offering legacy contracts, which allows you to leave your profile with someone to make one last post on your behalf after you pass away. You also have the choice to have your profile deleted after you pass or Facebook will change the profile to say “remembering” to identify the page as a profile for a deceased person.
