Today’s “Word of the Day” is listen. Listen means to pay attention to someone or something in order to hear what is being said, to give attention with the ear and to attend closely for the purpose of hearing.
In the Bible, James 1:19 says, “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry…”
As mommy used to say and I still say today, “The reason God gave us one mouth and two ears is so that we can listen more and speak less.”
Give it a shot today. Focus on listening; you just might like what you hear.
