In “Black Thursday” the new “Black Friday?” In the past, “Black Friday” has always been the official start of the holiday shopping season. But at this rate, it looks like “Black Friday” will soon turn into “Black Thursday,” because retailers just can’t wait until the day after Thanksgiving. Instead, the some stores will be opened on Thanksgiving Day such as: Walmart, Kmart, Sears, Macy’s, JC Penney, Target, Kohl’s, Best Buy, Staples, Sports Authority, Toys R Us, Big Lots, Radio Shack, Office Max and Office Depot.

However, if you plan to shop on Thanksgiving Day in Massachusetts, Maine or Rhode Island, it won’t happen because those states ban stores from opening on the holiday to allow employees to spend the day with your families or loved ones.
