Grammy® Award winning Christian rap artist Lecrae Moore, who was recently named among multiple plaintiffs in a lawsuit filed against pop superstar Katy Perry, is distancing himself from it.

The 34-year-old Reach Records CEO said he wants nothing at all to do with the legal music beef.

“I have no qualms with Katy Perry. Love her. If she wants to talk at any point in time I’m more than willing to,” he said in an interview with MTV.

A 2007 song “Joyful Noise” by Christian rapper Marcus Gray, best known as Flame, sparked the controversy. Perry’s song “Dark Horse” is said to have infringed upon the copyright of its Christ-honoring musical predecessor.

The official documents claim “Joyful Noise” is “irreparably tarnished by its association with the witchcraft, paganism, black magic, and Illuminati imagery evoked by the same music in ‘Dark Horse’.”
