Wawa Gets Ready For Its 50th Anniversary!

Today Wawa is celebrating its 50th Anniversary today! It was this day 50 years ago that the very first Wawa store opened its doors in Folsom, Delaware County. The company now has 645 stores in six states. Today the President and CEO of Wawa will join Mayor Michael Nutter in Center City, to declare it “Wawa Day” in Philadelphia. In celebration of today, Wawa is giving away free coffee all day.

Taste of the Nation Philadelphia!

Get your taste buds together for “Taste of the Nation Philadelphia,” Sunday, April 27th, 4 to 8pm at the Hotel Monaco, 433 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia. This is the premiere chef event that raises money to benefit local Philadelphia-based hunger organizations to end childhood hunger right in our backyard. This year’s event will bring together the area’s top chefs and restaurants that donate their time, talent and passion to end childhood hunger in America.

Local beneficiaries include: Philabundance, Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, The Food Trust, and the Pennsylvania Hunger Action Committee.
