MICHELLE OBAMA-PRAISEPHILLY

Today in honor of Black History Month we celebrate First Lady Michelle Obama!

Michelle LaVaughn Robinson was born on January 17, 1964. She is the wife of the 44th and current President of the United States, Barack Obama, and the first African-American First Lady of the United States. She’s an American lawyer and writer. Raised on the South Side of Chicago, Michelle attended Princeton University and Harvard Law School before returning to Chicago to work at a law firm where she met her husband, President Barack Obama.

Michelle Obama is the mother of daughters Malia and Sasha. Throughout her husband’s 2008 campaign for President, she made a commitment to be away overnight only once a week, to campaign only two days a week and to be home by the end of the second day for their two children.

As the wife of a former Senator, and now the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama is impacting the world as a fashion icon and role model for women, and an advocate for poverty awareness, nutrition, and healthy eating.

Today in honor of Black History Month, we celebrate First Lady, Michelle Obama!
