President Barack Obama makes a promise to a section of West Philly in the form of a “Promise Zone,” which is a federal program with the goal of blessing five of the country’s poorest neighborhoods by giving special attention to help reduce crime, support early education and boost economic growth. West Philly is the first of five neighborhoods that will get this preferential treatment.

Delaware River Ice Jam Extends Flood Watch!
An ice jam on the Delaware River, as the result of the cold temps has extended the flood watch by authorities. Trenton, NJ is the main target right because the ice jam formed near Trenton, which could cause flash floods as temperatures rise and the jam breaks.
