A Missouri woman who took her son, who’s she breastfeeding to jury duty, now has to go in front of a judge and could be found in contempt of court, fined up to $5,000 and could even be arrested.
Because she didn’t have anybody else to watch her son, she asked to be exempt from jury duty but was told to either find someone to watch him or to bring somebody with her who could care for the kid while she served.
However, she ended up bringing her son with her because she had nobody to look after him.
Breastfeeding women are exempt from jury duty in 12 states.
