Today’s Daily Faith-Lift™ is designed to remind us to live life!
Our prayers go out to the families, friends and residents in Newtown, Connecticut, where a shooting took place at Sandy Hook Elementary; which claimed the lives of 26, mostly children. This shooting has shaken us to the core. As a mother, I cannot imagine what it feels like to get that call or hear the news that a shooting has taking place at either of my daughters’ schools.
This time of grief is a reminder that tomorrow is not promised, each moment counts and we should live life to the fullest by:
- Listening more and talking less
- Smiling more and frowning less
- Complimenting more and criticizing less
- Praying more and worrying less
It’s true what we have seen or either heard that yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is God’s gift; that’s why we call it the present. Therefore, we should unwrap our present each day with a “God thank you for another day”, an “I love you”, a hug, a kiss, an “I’m sorry”, “Please forgive me”, “I forgive you” and more!
What matters is to live in the present, live now, for every moment is now. We only live once, but if we do it right, once is enough. Live life now!
