I was blessed today to be invited to a tea hosted by Pastor Diane Haskell. The tea called “Extraordinary Women’s Tea Talk” was a great time of fellowship with some extraordinary women. It was a reminder to me about the importance of giving our sister friends and the ones we love their flowers now.
Whitney Houston’s passing caused me to reflect on this even more. At Whitney’s home-going celebration many kind things were said about her. I wonder if her life would have been a little bit sweeter here on earth, if she would have heard all of those kind words while she was still here. This we will never know.
However, we do know that tomorrow is not promised to us. Therefore, make it a priority to tell those you love how much you love them. Give them their flowers now, while they are still here to receive them.
