The fast-food chain Burger King may add “delivery” as an option here in the U.S.! Yes it is true! According to a spokesperson for Burger King, the chain will test delivery at 16 Washington, D.C. BK locations this month. The deliver menu will be similar to the in-restaurant menu; with the exception of breakfast items, fountain drinks, and shakes.

Even though McDonald’s offers delivery in certain Manhattan outposts, a spokeswoman stated that they are not currently planning to try it elsewhere.  Therefore, if Burger King decides to expand the service nationally, it could become the first national quick-service burger chain to do so.

For the Washington D.C. test, customers will order by phone or online at http://www.bkdelivers.com. The participating locations will deliver to addresses within 10 minutes of the test outposts.

Customers will be charged a $2 fee for delivery and the minimum order is $8 to $10, depending on the store.
