Earlier today I was at the Lonnie Young Rec Center for the Goods for Guns Program from 10am to 3pm. So many People came out to turn in guns for $100.00 gift cards from the Browns Family ShopRite. Philly is doing the best to keep the streets safe and Gun free.
I received a call last week on Praise 103.9 from a mother who was hurt because her son was shot and is now hospitalized and the Doctors are saying that he might be paralyzed from the injury.
She was telling me a few weeks ago her son was so excited about the holidays that he told his her “this will be the best year yet”. When she received the news about her son she said how can she enjoy the holidays that he was so looking forward to?
We took the time to pray and asked God for his perfect will in this matter.
This is one of the reasons why we need to take a stand and make changes to protect our children by supporting Goods for Guns. We need to save lives not take them.
So many people brought out guns in the short time that I was at the Lonnie Young Rec Center. By the time I left they collected over 250 guns.
