Chuck Norris, ‘Walker, Texas Ranger,’ Star Dies At 86

The headlines are once again filled with Bishop Eddie Long!

This time it involves another lawsuit against him and his partners in a real estate venture that defaulted on a $2 million dollar bank loan.

Long and his two partners in the West Indies Holding Co. LLC, took out a loan from a Macon bank for a Jonesboro commercial property that includes Omni Hoops & Fitness gymnasium.

The settlement involves an installment plan that will include $102,690.26 in property tax and nearly $300,000 in attorney fees by January 2015.

However, the bank failed and was absorbed by State Bank & Trust. With that the bank filed a lawsuit to recover the balance of $1.9 million plus interest and fees.

Earlier this year, Long reached the end of a list of costly legal battles that have damaged his reputation and dented his New Birth Missionary Baptist Church membership and leadership.
