On August 20, 2011, “THE FIRST ANNUAL CAMDEN CITY DAY OF SERVICE” sponsorted by the Nehemiah Group, followed by the “WAKE UP RALLY and COOKOUT.”
During the “THE FIRST ANNUAL CAMDEN CITY DAY OF SERVICE,” we will participate in various community service activities throughout the city and take a proactive role in the improvement and up-keep of our neighborhoods. We will then join visitors and volunteers from across the state and country at the Dudley Grange Park in East Camden for a “WAKE UP RALLY and COOKOUT.” During the rally, we will hear from various dynamic speakers who will bring to light the need for leadership and action from within the community and its residents. It is my hope that this community’s participation will serve as an example and reminder to the future generations of Camden citizens that there are men and women in and outside the city of Camden who are committed to uplifting this community. My fellow citizens I pray that you will all take the time out of your busy schedules to show our visitors, government and most importantly our children, that the spirit of the residents of the invincible city of Camden remains unconquerable and that through our very own actions a change is truly to come.

This Saturday is the day! August 20th E. Daniels will release his debut album “The Journey” with a celebration concert!
Rapper Daarinah, the band The Reset and the poet Fannetta Saunders will all join the celebration!
The concert begins at 7:00pm at Christ Community Church of Philadelphia.
