Our Radio One-Philly cluster will team up with The School District of Philadelphia’s Superintendent Dr. William Hite Jr., from 7pm-9pm; however, if you can’t join us, we will broadcast live from 7pm-8pm! The ALS ice bucket challenge is really making a big difference in donations. Over the last month $100M dollars have been raised. This same time last year, donations of $2M had been donated.
A lot of other creative ideas are popping up as a result of the ALS ice bucket challenge such as “Pies for Parkinson’s,” where you get a pie in the face or else you have to pay to donate to the cause.
