Last night, police charged 19-year-old Christina Regusters of the 6200 block of Walton Avenue with kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, rape, aggravated assault, and related offenses in connection with the January abduction of a 5-year-old girl from a West Philadelphia school.

According to investigators, Regusters worked at the after school daycare of the elementary school where the girl was abducted. Regusters was arraigned today and she is now behind bars with her bail set at $4 million dollars!

Also, according to investigators, Regusters recently moved here from Maryland about a year ago, where she also worked at a daycare. The house, in which the brutal assault of the 5-year-old girl occurred, is owned by Regusters’ aunt; where her live-in boyfriend also stays.

Authorities say it was the DNA on the 5-year-old’s t-shirt that linked her to Regusters. Last night authorities also took a bird from the house, that is considered to be a very importance piece of evidence.

Investigators have said the victim went through an “unspeakable experience” during her captivity. Her grandfather said she was sexually assaulted several times. Police believe that others were involved with the kidnapping and rape of the 5-year-old girl. The investigation continues.

Regusters’ next hearing will take place March 6 in family court; due to the age of the victim.
