Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

There is an old familiar saying that you may be familiar with. That saying goes like this, “You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.” The meaning of the say- ing is that you can win more people to your side by being kind and gentle than by being harsh and rude. This is true saying that is consistent with what the Bible teaches in Proverbs 19:22,“What is desired in a man is steadfast love.”

My mother always instilled in me the necessity of kind- ness. She constantly taught us to be kind to others. She preached the message of kindness and warned us saying, “Be careful how you treat people, because the same people you mistreat on the way up will be the same ones you see on the way down.”

Kindness can take you a very long way in life. It should be practiced even when you do not feel like showing it or even if others don’t deserve it. Kindness is like medicine that blesses the giver and helps the receiver.
