School Bus Crime Scene

A 15 year old 9th grader at Wilmington’s John Dickinson High School was shot Monday morning as he waited at a school bus stop. An unknown assailant ran up, shot him in the arm and abdomen and fled. Shots also struck a nearby parked car. The incident took place around 7am at 27th and Van Buren streets in Wilmington. The young man hailed a passing school bus after being shot and was taken to school.

He was then rushed to  A.I. DuPont Children’s Hospital for treatment. He’s now listed in stable condition. Police do not have a suspect or motive at this time. Wilmington Police request that anyone with information contact Detective Ford at 302-576-3606.
