A Georgia mother has cracked the code. The best way to tackle childbirth isn’t deep breathing or a few calming words from your midwife — it’s the Nae Nae.
One mom proved she could dance with the best of them last week, when she did the popular routine between contractions at a Georgia hospital, Yahoo News reports. Ob/Gyn & Midwife Associates posted the video on Facebook, with a cute story behind the happy woman and her family.
From Facebook:
I went looking for my patient to see how she was doing with her squatting. This is what I found in between contractions. Get that baby down mommy!
The dance, made popular by teen rapper Silentó, has inspired plenty of imitation videos from children and their parents. In July, a mother and daughter duo danced to “Watch Me Whip (Nae/Nae),” garnering over 3 million views on YouTube.
Nurse and midwife Marsha D. Ford confirmed with Yahoo News the mom was in fact dancing during contractions and safely delivered a nine-pound, six-and-a-half ounce baby girl.
Congratulations to the family!
