We’ll see more sunshine tomorrow but Friday night into Saturday morning get ready for a Nor’easter to roll through and this time around we might have to bring out the plows.
National Recall On Granny Smith And Gala Apples
Heads up, there’s a national recall on Granny Smith and Gala apples that were processed at a plant in California. Thirty-one people in 11 states have been hospitalized with Listeria from eating those apples. Symptoms include fever, severe headache, nausea and a stiff neck.

Measles Outbreak Continues In California
70 people have the measles as a result of visiting Disneyland in Anaheim, California. California public health officials are asking those who have not been vaccinated to avoid the Disney park.

The ‘Deflate Gate” Remains Opened
The ‘Deflate Gate’ remains opened as the NFL continues its investigation of the New England Patriots using deflated footballs during the AFC Championship game against the Colts on Sunday. Teams are allowed to use 12 of their own footballs for the offense and out of the Patriots’ 12, 11 were deflated by two pounds. The footballs are supposed to have 13 pounds of pressure. It’s easier to catch a deflated football when it’s raining. If the Patriots are found guilty, they will have to pay a heavy fine.
Family Of Man Killed In Tracy Morgan Crash Settles
Last June while on the NJ turnpike Comedian/Actor Tracy Morgan, his good friend James McNair and others were injured when a Walmart tractor-trailer slammed into the back of their limo bus. McNair died is the crash and his family has settled its wrongful death lawsuit against Walmart. Morgan is still recovering from a traumatic brain injury.
