World Aids Day!
It’s Dec. 1 and “World Aids Day!” This a day of coming together in the fight against HIV, as well as support people living with HIV and to remember those who have died from AIDS.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as of 2014, an estimated 35 million people around the world are living with HIV/AIDS. New HIV infections have fallen by 38 percent since 2001. The theme of this year’s World AIDS Day is “Focus, Partner, Achieve: An AIDS-Free Generation.”
Use this World AIDS Day as an opportunity for you to learn the facts about HIV and put your knowledge into action.
Today let’s make sure we remember to pray and give hope to those living with HIV and AIDS, as well as pray for the strength to all of those who continue to care for those living with AIDS, the wisdom to those who search for a cure, and courage to those who fight for a world where people living with HIV/AIDS are giving respect and dignity.
