Well, it’s the end of an era for JET magazine, as we know it! The print version of Jet magazine is about to be grounded!

The New York Times report that the magazine, founded in 1951, will stop releasing a print edition and will be online only starting in June. CEO Linda Rice Johnson says, “Almost 63 years ago, my father, John Johnson, named the publication Jet because, as he said in the first issue, ‘In the world today, everything is moving faster. There is more news and far less time to read it. ‘He could not have spoken truer words. We are not saying goodbye to Jet, we are embracing the future as my father did in 1951.”

JET has 700,000 subscribers. The magazine will be offering them special content behind a pay wall on the magazine’s website.
