ABC will air a two-hour prime-time special on her career that night. In addition, ABC announced they would name their New York headquarters after Walters. Walters, who is 84, will remain involved behind the scenes as an executive producer at “The View,” which was her brainchild!

Army Regulation has spawned concerns that African-American women with natural hair will be left with no styling options other than a relaxer, a weave, or a wig. Restrictions on length of bangs and types of styles that can be worn have led to petitions. Military women of color are outraged that hair must be straightened to be acceptable or that there are grooming standards at all.

The film is about black woman had a white racist living within, struggling to take over her very existence. Halle says, “If it was not a real story and I knew the real woman, I don’t think I would’ve believed it myself”. Halle hopes that the film will inspire family and friends to offer support to those who suffer from any type of mental illness.
