We Say Goodbye To One Of Philadelphia’s Most Loved Sports Figures!
On a sad note, we say goodbye to sports legend and local politician, Tom Gola. Gola was one of Philadelphia’s most loved sports figures. He grew up in Olney and went to La Salle High School and La Salle University. At one time in his career he was the head coach for La Salle, a former state rep and a former city controller. Gola was also a Hall of Famer! Gola will be missed by his wife, son and fans all over the world. Gola passed away Sunday afternoon at the age of 81.
