According to police, 42-year-old equipment operator Sean Benschop, has been charged with manslaughter for allegedly being high on marijuana when the building he was demolishing collapsed onto a neighboring Salvation Army Thrift Store last Wednesday. In a press conference today, District Attorney Seth Williams says he will convene a grand jury to look into last week’s deadly building collapse in downtown Philadelphia that killed 6 people and injured 14. The city council is also forming a special committee to investigate the building collapse as well.
