Two people convinced by their friends to try something they never would have done on their own..”Match.com online dating”, but God truly has his own plan! After three weeks on the site we were both ready to move on until that moment when I came across her photo and instantly got paused. I recall it like yesterday, my first thought..”I would love to wake-up every morning to that face”. Well I sent her a message, she responded, and we planned our first date. “EVERYTHING THAT COULD GO WRONG WENT WRONG”! My car got damaged at the car-wash, I was running late, and then I run outside jump in the car and find that I have a flat tire. After trying like crazy to fix the tire without any success, I finally called her to say I had to reschedule. But when I explained that the reason was because of my tire, her response..”I have 4 tires”, that won me over immediately! Our first date was truly love at first site. We laughed and shared the moment like a couple that had been in love for years! Planning our next date for Sunday, we agreed to meet at my church, Calvary Baptist, and I was rushing to get there as usual, with Tay already inside waiting. Little did I know that inside one of my female elder members had started a conversation with Tay about them both waiting on their men to come in, and without Tay ever describing me nor referring to me as her husband, as soon as I opened the door the woman turned to her and said, “There goes your husband”! Who knew she was speaking it into existence. We’ve been inseparable ever since. This coming July 13th, three years later, I finally become whole when I say “I do” to my heaven sent queen. God’s true blessing in my life!
