Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson can now add the title of New York Times Best Selling Author to her list of accomplishments! Hudson’s first book, “I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down”, debuted at number eight on the New York Times Best Sellers Hardcover Advice & Misc. list.
In the book, Hudson gives God the glory and praise for getting through the murder of her mother, brother, and nephew in October 2008. Meanwhile, her ex-brother-in-law, William Balfour, the man charged with first degree murder of her mother, brother and nephew was ordered to face trial last Thursday. However, Judge Charles Burns set jury selection to begin April 9th despite pleas from Balfour’s attorney that they were unprepared for trial. He also set an April 23 start date for initial testimony.
