There is one movie role that Jennifer Hudson turned down that I never knew about. The lead role in the controversial blockbuster “Precious.”
In her upcoming book, “I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down,” the superstar singer will open up about why she turned down the lead role in “Precious, how she let go of stuff and lost the extra luggage to look as good as she does today.
Hudson says that she turned down the role because after her role in “Dreamgirls” she lost a significant amount of weight; and in order to take the role in “Precious”, she would have to gain all of weight back and more! Hudson decided that she wanted to do roles that had nothing to do with her weight; and now she is no longer limited to the roles that require only full-figure women.
